So I consider myself a pretty intelligent person. I retain information quite well and was always a good test taker. I graduated with high honors and even when through college on a academic scholarship. With all that being said, those who know me well, know there is a big problem in my wealth of knowledge....I can't spell. I try so hard, but it just doesn't happen for me. I am a slave to spell checker, and will often change how I want to say something if I am not sure how to spell the word I want to use. It gives me great anxiety to write in a card or fill out a form when I don't have spell checker to help me out.
On Sunday night we were watching the Oscars up at my moms and during one commercial break there was a preview for a new show called Castle. Before they said the name of the show, I thought it would be pronounced Cass-Tell. When they pronounced it the correct way I responded to my family..."Who puts a 'T' in castle...how dumb!?!" Since the rest of my family are all really good spellers, they got a good laugh out of this on my behalf. This will yet again be another word they will constantly make fun of me for, just like the word clumsy (another story, another time). But come on people...a 'T' in castle....it really doesn't make sense!
I'm off to spell check this....

Ha - I love you! Don't worry, you are great at plenty of other things!
I'm with you on the no "T" thing. It's really not needed :)
Hahahaha! This was awesome! Good to know you can laugh at this weakness of yours! You're FARCICAL...go ahead, look it up and spell check it! Hahaha! xoxo
HAHAHA! I can't believe my eyes! A POST!! Welcome back!! I actually didn't know you couldn't spell! And I call myself your friend! I SUCK at it too, but not as much as Wes!! HA!
It's because you went to Alta. Sorry.
Im going to agree with Katie on the whole "its becuase you when to Alta" Casey and I arent very good spellers too...and Sara? hummm, I do notice a trend taking place.
I love Katie's comment. You and Jeff should get together and write letters sometime. That would be entertainging to me. How is the THINKING about becoming a mother coming?
Kamille is kind of being nosy don't you think? But since she asked, what's your answer.
We should just eliminate T from the alphabet. My 7 year old is with you on that awful spelling stuff.
The English language makes no sense at all. You'll realize that more and more when you have kids and you are giving them spelling words and you wonder why is it spelled that way?? It's hard to explain to them. I don't get it.
